THE ESTATES
Our vineyard and olive grove estate covers over 100 hectares at an altitude of approximately 250/300 metres above sea level in one of Italy's most beautiful villages, Altomonte, in the province of Cosenza. Altomonte was originally known as Balbia, famous for its highly prized wine, Balbino.
Siamo nel cuore della Calabria settentrionale e ai piedi del Parco Nazionale del Pollino.
The exposure of our land towards both the Ionian and Tyrrhenian coasts, the constant sea breeze and the particular quality of the soil with a medium texture, create exceptional conditions for skilful and organic viticulture. The four hills on which most of our vineyards are located, our plain and the picturesque vineyards on the shores of Lake Esaro are home to rows of aromatic Malvasia, Montonico, Guarnaccia, sweet Magliocco, Castiglione and Calabrese grapes.
